Simply beautiful and works of art in their own right. I hope these gorgeous handmade cards by Elena Deshmukh inspire you to send a message to a loved one or friend - how lovely it would be to receive one of these rather than a text or email?
Each card is individually hand embellished with accents of fine embroidery, using organza, gold and silver leaf. - and blank inside for you to write your very own message.
Elena Deshmukh was born in Milan to Indian parents and spent her childhood in Italy before moving to England, where she trained in Fashion/Textile Design, specialising in embroidery. After graduating, Elena worked with a textiles agent in London, designing for fashion companies including Kenzo, Moschino and Donna Karan. Her design inspiration comes from images and childhood memories and beautiful objects she has collected over the years - a porcelain tea cup;
a mist of bluebells on a woodland walk; the papery blooms of a camellia or a vintage postcard. Her cards are made from beautiful paper and come with a custom-made envelope, all made from chlorine free paper and paper from a sustainable source.
A card for every occasion: Birthday, Thank you, Wedding, Christening, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
