ella georgia supports the Karen Hill Tribes Trust. The Karen Hill Tribes Trust are a charity dedicated to working with the Karen people of Northern Thailand to help themselves to build a better future. Our ‘Gifts for Life’ appeal raises funds for educational projects managed by the Karen Hilltribes Trust. We have carefully selected several wonderful gifts for you to choose from, all of which will bring joy, both to the recipient but most importantly to the Karen children. A gift that will truly last a life time!

Not on the high street - Gold purse

These fairly traded purses are designed in the UK and handmade in Vietnam. Originally rice farmers, earning a subsistence and irregular wage, the artisans/seamstresses making these purses now benefit from earning four times the national minimum wage, which provides them with a good standard of living and the chance to send their children to school. Each purchase helps us to create similar work opportunities for other disadvantaged women.
