I’m delighted to be a guest on the ella georgia blog.  We recently partnered with ella georgia to do a US launch of the gorgeous Zulu bracelets Sian imports from South Africa.  Our site, Daily Grommet, is all about finding really fresh products with compelling stories.  Our theory is that people want to be more thoughtful consumers–socially, economically, and environmentally.  And we all love to help out the “little guy”– whether it be the Zulu beaders who are supporting their families with their lovely crafts, or a really innovative electronics gadget designer, or a great problem solving beauty product, or a passionate green products producer.

Our job is to find those wonderful products, and learn their stories, and then pass them on to as many people as we can.  Every day at noon (Boston time) we release a story, including a video and a chance to chat with the source of the “Grommet.”  In the case of ella georgia, the able representative of the Zulu bracelet crafters was Sian herself.  She answered questions and made everyone who visited our site “feel” her passion and the heart and soul that goes into her jewelry selections.

Beyond that, behind the scenes, one of our team members, Jeanne Connon, really connected with Sian.  They seem like real soul-sisters.  Women of great skill, heart and responsiveness.  I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful relationship between Daily Grommet and ella georgia.  Sian will continue to find wonderful jewelry with a heart, and we will do our best to help folks in the US learn about these fresh finds from Sian.
